During the past 3 summer, I did my fair share of digging in order to find a decent parcel of sand to lay down on from July to September.

The Hayama beach behind the Imperial Villa (Goyotei) is by far the cleanest and less crowded option that I have found on the Shonan shore. If you want to stay relatively close to downtown Tokyo Hayama is definitely the best option for a quiet afternoon by the seaside.

I have yet to fully explore the Chiba shore before building up a ranking of Tokyo best beaches but for now Hayama will be my summer 2010 number 1 hang-out.

Drake's opus build a parallel between once-upon-a-time good friends turned best enemies Karl and Yves, comparing their journey to the Fashion pinnacle, their exuberant lifestyle and their approach to Fashion and Art in general.

I strongly recommend Drake takes on Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld for those out there with a strong interest in Art / Fashion and the way careers and legends are build.

From my point of view, the strongest positive aspect of this book is Drake's way to describes Paris during the 70's, a world in transition between an ancient patriarchal system and the birth of a powerful consumer society.

In addition, Alicia Drake's outsider point of view allows her to describe an era and a scene without favorable prejudice.

On the flip side, I would say that by focusing only on YSL and KL, she tends to ignore the influence that the industry received from London and Milan based designers.

Few days ago, I bought myself a vintage 80's Patty suitcase from "Pass The Baton".

"Pass The Baton" is a "New Recycle" concept store that gathers products and items from private individuals - objects with memories, items in disuse but that can't be thrown away. Items there are sold along with their stories to those who understands its use and value.

I might not ending up using this suitcase as much as the previous owner but I'm proud to have acquired such a classic traveling tool. As a matter of fact, just buying that suicase brought me joy and inspiration to design my next trip to South East Asia.

We were the unofficial Neighborhood Exhibition after party.

I was ready for another (good) night at Le Baron but an interesting turn of event brought us all to a Ping Pong Parlour in Shibuya for a 2 hours session of intense sport action.

We all ended up eventually holding a gin tonic in our hand to celebrate our effort in Nakameguro best kept secret...Victoria!

Zivil Courage is the new slogan for the new Adidas O by O x Neighborhood collaboration.

Zivil Courage is the german translation of Social Courage or Courage civil in French, also known in English as the Good Samaritan law.

"Civil courage is defined by many different standards. In general, the term is usually referred to when civilians stand up against something that is deemed unjust and evil, knowing that the consequences of their action might lead to their death, injury or some other form of significant harm.

In some countries (e.g. Brazil, France or Germany) civil courage is enforced by law; this means that if a crime is committed in public, the public is obliged to act, either by alerting the authorities, or by intervening in the conflict. If the crime is committed in a private environment, those who witness the crime must either report it to the authorities or attempt to stop it".

(La meilleure façon d'eviter les fautes, c'est d'etre bref...).

Last week, my boy Erman Aykurt (Adidas) was kind enough to took me to the Cycle Messenger World Championship down in Odaiba by Tokyo bay.

I have never been too deep into the whole Fix-gear movment but i do have a tremendous respect for it. Talking with active members of the bike community made me realized how organic and authentic they all are, flying in to Tokyo from NYC, SFO, BRL with no money perspective at all

...Refreshing!
